A man was critically hurt in a shooting in the South Side Englewood neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.

The man, 20, was standing standing outside a home in the 7000 block of South Stewart about 4:50 p.m. when a gray minivan pulled up, police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala said.

Someone got out of the minivan, fired shots and got back in the vehicle which drove off southbound on Stewart, Zala said.

The man was shot in the head and taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Zala said.
