Man, woman shot in Englewood

A man and a woman were shot Sunday night in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

A 30-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were standing on a front porch in the 5600 block of South May Street at about 10 p.m. when a suspect exited a white Sedan and shot at them, police said.

The man suffered a gunshot wound to the left wrist, and the woman suffered a gunshot wound to the left calf.

Both were taken to St. Bernard Hospital where their conditions were stabilized.

The man is a know gang member, police said.
