A man was shot and seriously wounded Saturday night in the Morgan Park neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The 29-year-old was outside about 10:30 p.m. in the 11300 block of South Carpenter when someone walked up and opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

He suffered two gunshot wounds to the shoulder and one under the left armpit, police said. The man was taken in serious condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
