6 burglaries reported in Back of the Yards

Police are warning South Side residents of six recent home burglaries in the Back of the Yards neighborhood.

The burglars strike in the daytime and afternoon hours, according to the community alert from Chicago Police.

The burglaries happened July 26 in the 5100 block of South Winchester; July 29 in the 2000 block of West James Street; twice on Aug. 6 in the 5100 block of South Wolcott; and twice Aug. 12 in the 5300 block of South Seeley, police said.
