A woman was shot in the South Shore neighborhood Tuesday evening.

The 19-year-old was in the 1300 block of East 74th Street just before 7 p.m. when someone walked up and shot her in the leg, police said.

She was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where her condition stabilized, police said.
