Woman missing from Woodlawn found safe

A woman reported missing from the Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side for more than three weeks has been found safe, police announced Thursday.

Patricia “Patty” Simon, 61, was last seen July 19 in the 6200 block of South Champlain, according to a missing person alert issued Wednesday night by Chicago Police.

On Thursday, police announced Simon was found to be safe. Additional information was not provided.
