KEY WEST, Fla. — United Airlines will begin seasonal service between Key West and Chicago O’Hare Airport and Newark Liberty Airport.

United will fly between Chicago and Key West on Saturdays from Jan. 7 through April 29, 2017. It will be the only nonstop service between Chicago and Key West, according to a statement from Monroe County spokeswoman Cammy Clark.

And United will be the only airline to offer daily nonstop service between the New York area and Key West.

The flights between Key West and the Newark, New Jersey, airport will begin Dec. 16 and run through May 4, 2017.

Tickets for these Key West flights went on sale Saturday.

Clark says several new jobs will be created at Key West International Airport with the new United flights.
