A bicyclist was injured in a crashSaturday night in southwest suburban Chicago Ridge.

A 26-year-old manwas driving westbound at 11:09 p.m. on 111th Street near Mayfield Avenue when he noticed a bicyclist riding in the median, according to a statement from Chicago Ridge police.

The driverpassed the bicyclist and then attempted to locate himin his mirrors when glass shattered and the driver saw the bicyclistfall to the ground, police said.

The bicyclist, a 61-year-old Evergreen Park man, was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where his condition was stabilized, police said.

The drivercalled 911 and remained at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing, but police said no charges are pending as of Monday afternoon.
