Woman, 18, shot in West Town

An 18-year-old woman was shot Saturday morning in the West Town neighborhood.

The woman was walking in the 1700 block of North Western about 5:25 a.m. when she “heard shots and felt pain,” police said, citing preliminary information.

She was shot in the right shoulder and taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where her condition had stabilized.
