A man was shot in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side late Friday, Chicago Police said.

Authorities said the 27-year-old was shot in the leg about 11:45 p.m. in the 3400 block of West Ogden. His condition had stabilized at Mount Sinai Hospital.

The man told investigators he was “drinking and smoking all day [and] just woke up in hospital,” according to police.
