A man was shot repeatedly early Tuesday in the Gage Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 20-year-old was discovered lying on the sidewalk in the 5300 block of South California about 2:30 a.m. with gunshot wounds to the chest, jaw, left arm and back, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital.

Police said the victim is a documented gang member, and the shooting is most likely gang-related.
