Man, 21, shot in West Englewood

A man was shot in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side early Monday.

The 21-year-old was standing on the sidewalk at 1:03 a.m. in the 6600 block of South Claremont when he heard shots and realized he’d been shot in the chest, Chicago Police said.

He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where his condition was stabilized, police said.
