A 55-year-old man was shot while working on his vehicle Tuesday afternoon in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.

A dark-colored car pulled up to the man about 2:50 p.m. in the 1400 block of North Homan and someone inside opened fire, hitting him in the left arm, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken in good condition to Norwegian American Hospital. Police said he has documented gang ties.
