Red Line station construction will require an extended lane closure on the northbound Dan Ryan at 95th Street beginning Tuesday on the South Side.

As part of a construction project to improve the 95th Street/Dan Ryan station, the left lane of northbound Interstate 94 will be closed Tuesday after the evening rush until approximately Thanksgiving, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.

The lane closure is adjacent to the construction of the new 95th Street/Dan Ryan terminal, IDOT said. The lane will be closed between where Interstate 57 merges with I-94 to just north of 95th Street. Motorists should expect additional delays and allowed extra time for trips in the area.

The extended closure is expected to resume in spring 2017, IDOT said.
