Two teenage boys were wounded in a shooting Monday night in the Rogers Park neighborhood on the North Side.

The boys, ages 15 and 17, were walking on the sidewalk at 8:45 p.m. in the 2100 block of West Fargo when someone in a red SUV fired shots at them, according to Chicago Police.

The 15-year-old was shot in the upper back and the 17-year-old was shot in the lower back, police said. They were both taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, where their conditions were stabilized.

A police source said both boys are documented gang members.
