A man was shot early Wednesday in the Portage Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

About 1:05 a.m., the 27-year-old was in a vehicle stopped in traffic in the 3500 block of North Laramie when he got into an argument with someone in another vehicle nearby, according to Chicago Police.

Shots were fired and the man was struck in the knee, police said. He was taken to Community First Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized.
