A man was stabbed in a domestic disturbance in southwest suburban Plainfield early Wednesday.

Officers were called about a domestic disturbance at 5:52 a.m. in the 23800 block of Springs Court, according to a statement from Plainfield police. While en route, the officers learned a man was stabbed and the person who stabbed him was attempting to leave the area in a vehicle.

A 47-year-old man was taken to a hospital with multiple stab wounds that were not life-threatening, police said.

Veldrin L. Johnson, 52, was taken into custody and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
