A 23-year-old man was shot Saturday evening in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

He was inside his vehicle about 5 p.m. in the 200 block of North Kostner when he heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

The man suffered a gunshot wound to the ankle and was taken to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park in good condition, police said.
