Man shot in Englewood

A man was shot early Monday in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The 28-year-old was walking at 12:23 a.m. in the 6900 block of South Normal when someone inside a silver vehicle nearby fired shots in his direction, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the right hip and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

The fatal attack occurred in Homan Square.
One of the wounded, a 32-year-old man, was driving down the street when he was struck by gunfire, police said.
The 34-year-old was crossing the street just before 8:30 p.m. in the 2900 block of West Columbus Avenue when she was struck by a black SUV.
