A 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were shot to death Saturday night in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side.

They were sitting in a parked van about 10:25 p.m. in the 8900 block of South Union when someone fired shots at them from a passing gray sedan, according to Chicago Police.

The 19-year-old, Justin Gilbert; and the 17-year-old, Trevail Ridgell, were both shot multiple times and pronounced dead at the scene, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Both lived in the same neighborhood as the shooting.

Area South detectives were investigating.
