Man shot to death in South Chicago

A man was killed in a shooting Thursday afternoon in the South Chicago neighborhood on the South Side, according to Chicago Police.

Adolphus T. Ford, 20, was walking at 2:08 p.m. in the 8400 block of South Brandon when someone shot at him from a vehicle, police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office said.

Ford was shot multiple times and was taken in critical condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 3:17 p.m., police said. He lived in the same block as the shooting.
