A man was wounded Wednesday evening in a West Side Austin neighborhood shooting.

The 20-year-old was walking on a sidewalk about 7:45 p.m. when someone walked up to him in the 5400 block of West Fulton and opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the left leg and taken to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, police said. His condition stabilized.
