Boy, 17, shot to death in Humboldt Park

A boy was fatally shot Tuesday evening in the West Side Humboldt Park neighborhood.

The boy was found unresponsive at 7:47 p.m. in the 1000 block of North Pulaski after suffering a gunshot wound to the left side of his torso, according to preliminary information from Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital and pronounced dead, police said.

The boy was identified as 17-year-old Tony Webb of the 1200 block of S. Kostner, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.

Area North detectives were conducting a homicide investigation.

The victim was initially reported to be a man between the ages of 18 and 25.
