Man shot multiple times in Lawndale

A man was shot several times early Saturday in the West Side Lawndale neighborhood.

About 3:30 a.m., the 39-year-old man was standing outside in the 3900 block of West Arthington Street when someone approached him and fired shots, Chicago Police said.

He was hit in the abdomen and twice in the leg, police said. The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition stabilized.

Area North detectives were investigating the shooting.
