A man was shot Tuesday afternoon in the Irving Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The 24-year-old was shot in the torso about 4:25 p.m. when a dark-colored sedan pulled up next to him in the 3700 block of North Troy and someone inside fired shots, Chicago Police said.

The man was taken by paramedics to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
