A 30-year-old man was shot to death Monday night in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.
Mosiah Johnson suffered a gunshot wound to the head at 9:09 p.m. in the 800 block of South Albany. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:42 p.m., according to Chicago Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The circumstances of the shooting weren’t immediately known. Witnesses told police they heard gunshots and saw a group of five juveniles running from the area, but no one saw the actual shooting, police said.
Johnson lived in the Lawndale neighborhood.
Area North detectives were conducting a homicide investigation.
