Boy, 17, shot to death in Ford Heights

A 17-year-old boy was shot to death early Sunday in south suburban Ford Heights.

Deputies responded about 12:30 a.m. to a call of shots fired in the 1400 block of Diplomat Lane and found Dabryant Walker suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Walker was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead later that morning, authorities said. He lived in Markham.

The sheriff’s office was conducting a homicide investigation.
