Man, 25, shot in West Garfield Park

A man was shot early Sunday in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

The 25-year-old man was walking on a sidewalk about 1:30 a.m. when he heard gunfire in the 4700 block of West Gladys Avenue, according to Chicago Police.

He showed up to Stroger Hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg, police said. His condition was stabilized.

Area North detectives were investigating the shooting.
