Man, 20, shot in Back of the Yards

A man was wounded in a shooting Friday morning in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

The 20-year-old was walking north about 11:45 a.m. in the 5200 block of South Peoria when two males approached him and began shooting, Chicago Police said.

He was struck in the abdomen and taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

The shooters ran off west on 52nd Street.
