A 17-year-old boy was to death Sunday evening in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

About 6:15 p.m., officers responded to the 7300 block of South Claremont and found Daquan Albright with multiple gunshot wounds to his body, Chicago police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office said.

Albright was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. He lived in the same neighborhood where he was shot.

Area Central detectives were conducting a homicide investigation.
