Teen on bike seriously injured in Park Ridge crash

A man, 21, was critically hurt in a hit-and-run crash Jan. 25, 2021 in West Pullman. — A teenage bicyclist was struck by a vehicle Oct. 10, 2019, in Park Ridge.

A 15-year-old bicyclist was in serious condition after being hit by a motorist Thursday in north suburban Park Ridge.

The teenage boy was riding a bike about 9 a.m. at the intersection of Greenwood Avenue and Arthur Street when he was struck, Park Ridge police said in a statement. He was rushed to Lutheran General Hospital in serious condition.

The driver of the vehicle, a 75-year-old man, remained on scene, police said. Greenwood was closed for several hours following the crash.

The crash remains under investigation, police said.
