Blue Bell Ice Cream is voluntarily recalling some batches of its Butter Crunch ice cream for a possible foreign object, the Food and Drug Administration confirmed.

The lot of half-gallon containers of ice cream were produced at a plant in August in Sylacauga, Alabama, the FDA said Wednesday.

Blue Bell discovered the presence of a possible object after a consumer notified the company about finding a piece of a plastic tool inside one of the containers.

The FDA said the half gallons of ice cream produced at the Alabama plant can be identified by a code on top of the lid: 082621222.

Most of the half gallons were distributed to stores in the southern U.S., including Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. The FDA said there have been no reports of injuries linked to the ice cream.
