Man struck by 2 semis on I-80 in Country Club Hills

The 23-year-old Homewood man was taken to the hospital in a serious but stabilized condition, state police said.

All lanes of northbound I-90 were shot down June 3, 2022 for a shooting investigation near West Addison Street.

A 23-year-old man is in serious condition after he was struck by two semi trucks Tuesday on Interstate 80 in southwest suburban Country Club Hills.

About 11:05 a.m., two semis, a white 2020 Freightliner and a red 2019 Freightliner, were eastbound on I-80 in the far right lane when the man, a Homewood resident, ran in front of them near Pulaski Road and was struck by both, Illinois State police said.

He was taken to the hospital in serious condition but has been stabilized, police said.

An investigation is ongoing.
