1. Duke

Give Duke six scholarships to play with and it’s a pretty good bet coach Mike Krzyzewski is going to end up with the best class. Steward is headed there, along with three five-star recruits, led by top-10 talent Jalen Johnson, a 6-8 do-it-all forward out of IMG Academy in Florida.

2. North Carolina

The best class at UNC in years includes three five-star recruits. The five-player class is headlined by point guard Caleb Love out of St. Louis and a pair of big men: 7-footer Walker Kessler and 6-10, 245-pound Day’Ron Sharpe.

3. Kentucky

The top of the class is special with 6-6 guard Terrence Clarke, one of the five best prospects in the country, and 6-7 guard B.J. Boston, a consensus top-20 player nationally. Cam’Ron Fletcher of St. Louis is another top-100 piece.

4. Tennessee

Coach Rick Barnes follows up last year’s 31 wins and Sweet 16 trip with a stellar class. Barnes landed a pair of 6-5 shooting guards: local product Keon Johnson of Bell Buckle, Tennessee, and 6-6 guard Jaden Springer.

5. Florida State

The four-player class includes 6-8 Scottie Barnes from Montverde, Florida, who is one of the top 10 players in the country. Juco star Sardaar Calhoun and Florida product Malachi Wideman are two four-star recruits on the wing.

6. Virginia

The national champions landed three talented perimeter players, including a pair of top-100 players in 6-6 wing Jabri Abdur-Rahim and 6-3 Reece Beekman.

7. Oklahoma State

The country’s No. 2 player, versatile 6-7 Cade Cunningham, is headed to Stillwater to play for his brother, assistant coach Cannen Cunningham, who was hired in June. Point guard Rondel Walker is a top-100 player out of Oklahoma City.

8. Kansas

Picking up a commitment this week from 6-4 shooting guard Bryce Thompson, a top-20 talent out of Oklahoma, was huge for the Jayhawks. He joins four-star recruit Gethro Muscadin, a rising 6-10 big man, and star junior-college wing Tyon Grant-Foster.

9. Xavier

There will be big-time backcourt talent arriving with three four-star recruits. The leader of the class is point guard Dwon Odom, a top-50 player out of Georgia, along with 6-5 C.J. Wilcher and 6-6 Colby Jones, a pair of shooting guards with size and length.

10. Baylor

The Bears will welcome a trio of four-star recruits, including two big men and top-100 talents: 6-11 Zach Loveday and 6-8, 230-pound Dain Dainja.
