Monday’s slate of games features one big matchup: No. 3 Young (0-1) at Farragut (0-0). The Dolphins opened the season with a loss to Morgan Park.

Young is led by Duke recruit DJ Steward, fellow senior Tyler Beard and emerging 6-8 junior Grant Newell.

This is Farragut’s first game of the season. The Admirals are just on the outskirts of the Super 25. Coach William Nelson has a major hole to fill after the graduation of Aaron Strong, but a number of very young underclassmen received playing time including junior Malik Williams and sophomores Mikwon and Mikell Jones. Senior Derrick Clark is expected to do the bulk of the scoring and senior Danior Bolden returns after missing most of last season with an injury.

Other games to keep an eye on are Sullivan (1-3) at Glenbrook North (2-2) and Hirsch at Zion-Benton. Sullivan won 23 games last season and returns 6-4 senior Joe Tianen, junior Ross Freeman and 6-7 Kenny Akinola.
