Christopher Wolek | Chicago police

A man who was reported missing since last month from northwest suburban Wayne has been found.

Christopher Wolek, 43, went missing about 5 p.m. on Jan. 29 from his mother’s home in Wayne, according to missing person alerts from the Wayne and Chicago police departments.

Wolek lives at a West Side healthcare facility but checked out on Jan. 26 to temporarily stay with his mother, police said. He was scheduled to return to the facility the same day he went missing.

Wayne police canceled the alert Friday morning, stating that Wolek had been located. Further details were not released.
