A man was killed in a rollover crash Thursday on an I-80 onramp in south suburban Lansing.
Darryl L. Smith, 48, was driving an 2004 Lincoln SUV on the ramp from northbound Illinois Route 394 to eastbound I-80 when he lost control just before 3 a.m., according to Illinois State Police.
The Lincoln overturned into a ditch and Smith was thrown from the vehicle, state police said. Smith, who lived in Hazel Crest, was pronounced dead at the scene.
State police said he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
