2 injured in Union Ridge crash

Two people were injured Tuesday in a crash in Union Ridge on the Northwest Side.

A man was driving a white Nissan at a high rate of speed about 12:20 a.m. when he hit a silver Jeep in the 5300 block of North Nagle Avenue and flipped over, Chicago police said.

The driver and his passenger were taken to St. Francis Hospital in good condition, police said. Officers took the driver into custody after determining that the crash was alcohol-related.

No other injuries were reported, police said.
