Chicago police are warning Near North Side businesses of eight retail thefts reported in June and July.
In each incident multiple people walked into retail stores, loaded items into bags and left the stores on foot, according to a community alert from Chicago police.
Each incident happened in the 400 block of North Michigan Avenue between June 5 and July 1 at all times of the day, police said.
Police believe that up to nine people may be involved in the thefts.
Anyone with information is asked to call Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
