John Travolta reenacts iconic ‘Grease’ role on ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’

From Danny Zuko to Vinnie Barbarino, John Travolta proved he is the best John Travolta while facing off in an impersonation contest against host Jimmy Fallon.

“Grease” is still the word.

John Travolta brought some of his unforgettable roles back to life on Thursday’s “Tonight Show” during a “John Travolt-Off with John Travolta.” While host Jimmy Fallon should be applauded for effort, earning his Royale with Cheese with his Vincent Vega from “Pulp Fiction” impression, Travolta had, should we say, a slight edge.

The Oscar-nominated actor easily slipped back into the slick T-Bird Danny Zuko from “Grease.”

“Well, that’s cool, baby,” Travolta said to shrieks from the audience. “You know how it is, rockin’ and rollin’ and whatnot.”

Travolta also reprised his layered role from “Face/Off” where he and Nicolas Cage’s characters swapped faces.

“So you’re John Travolta playing Nic Cage,” Fallon reminded his guest. “This is a tricky impression.” Still, it was no problem for the “Saturday Night Fever” star.

As Travolta’s Vinnie Barbarino from the ‘70s TV series “Welcome Back, Kotter,” Fallon and the actor traded insults, with Travolta telling him: “Up your nose with a rubber hose.”

The two finished by doing the Barbarino dance.

Naturally no one can out-Travolta John Travolta, and he was named the victor of the showdown.

“It is official!” and excited Fallon exclaimed. “John Travolta is the best John Travolta there is!”
