Pair carjacked at gunpoint in Chinatown: police

A male and female were standing outside of a restaurant when four suspects jumped out of a dark-colored vehicle and demanded their property.

A couple was carjacked at gunpoint Wednesday in Chinatown.

A male and a female were standing outside of a restaurant about 7:30 p.m. in the 200 block of West 22nd Place when a dark-colored vehicle pulled up and four suspects jumped out, Chicago police said.

One of the suspects pointed a gun at the pair and demanded their property and their vehicle, police said. The carjackers were last seen westbound on 22nd Place in the victim’s vehicle.

No arrests have been reported. Area Central detectives are investigating.
