A man riding a motorcycle was killed in a crash Wednesday in Avalon Park on the South Side.

About 4 p.m., a 35-year-old woman driving a 2012 Honda Odyssey collided with the motorcycle as she made a left turn to pull into the driveway of a home in the 1200 block of East 83rd Street, Chicago police said.

The 27-year-old man driving the 2009 Honda motorcycle was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said.

He was identified as Ricky Marsaw, of Englewood, by the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

The woman was issued a citation for failure to yield to the right of way and was scheduled to appear in court June 8, police said.
