Police are investigating after a dead body was found Friday near Metra tracks in Bowmanville on the North Side.

Officers responded about 11:08 a.m. to the 5500 block of North Wolcott Avenue and found the body in the grass, Chicago police said.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office hasn’t released details on the death.

Area Three detectives are investigating.
