A man was killed in a crash Monday in Back of the Yards on the South Side.

The 45-year-old was southbound on a Honda motorcycle about 9:24 a.m. in the 4500 block of South Racine Avenue when he struck a GMC, Chicago police said.

Samuel Perez was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Autopsy results released Wednesday confirmed he died of injuries sustained in the crash and ruled his death an accident, the medical examiner’s office said. He lived in Marquette Park.
