Man killed in Orland Park rollover crash

John Seiwert was thrown from his vehicle in a rollover crash in the 8800 block of Maple Avenue, authorities said.

A man, 21, was critically hurt in a hit-and-run crash Jan. 25, 2021 in West Pullman.

A 69-year-old man was killed in a crash June 27, 2020, in Orland Park.

A 69-year-old man was killed in a crash Saturday in southwest suburban Orland Park.

The two-vehicle rollover crash happened at 2:26 p.m. in the 8800 block of Maple Avenue, according to Orland Park police. The driver of the vehicle that rolled over was thrown from the vehicle and died of his injuries.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified him as John Seiwert of Orland Park. An autopsy found he died of blunt force injuries and his death was ruled an accident.

The other driver was treated by paramedics at the scene, police said. No citations were issued and drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash.
