Charges have been filed in a late December stabbing in suburban Hoffman Estates.

Quinn Donovan, 21, faces a felony count of aggravated battery for allegedly stabbing a man Dec. 30, Hoffman Estates police said in a statement.

Officers responded about 6 a.m. to the 1700 block of Pebble Beach Drive and found a male stabbed in his hand and arm, police said.

He was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.

Donovan was hospitalized Monday during his first court appearance and was released from custody on his own recognizance, court records state.

Donovan, of Hoffman Estates, is expected back in court Jan. 20.
