Chicago police said the boy may have pushed out a screen in an apartment in the 1100 block of North LaSalle Drive around 10:40 p.m. He was found in bushes below and taken to Lurie Children’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy ruled his death an accident, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
