Man fatally shot in Lawndale apartment

The 33-year-old was shot in the chest in an apartment in the 1600 block of South Karlov Avenue, Chicago police said.

A man was fatally shot Monday night in an apartment in Lawndale on the West Side.

The man, 33, was attacked around 7:30 p.m. in an apartment in the 1600 block of South Karlov Avenue, police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. He was identified by the Cook County medical examiner’s office at Marco Owens.

There was no one in custody.
