A 17-year-old boy died Wednesday afternoon when a truck collided with the car he was riding in near Morton Grove, authorities said.

Joshua Deac was a passenger in a car that was making a left turn from Golf Road onto Harms Road when the truck hit the side of the car around 2:15 p.m., according to the Cook County sheriff’s office.

Deac, from Niles, was pronounced dead at Lutheran General Hospital I Park Ridge. The driver, an 18-year-old woman, was treated at the hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening.
