1 found fatally shot at West Garfield Park gas station

Lashawn Griffin was found in the parking lot of a gas station in the 400 block of South Kostner Avenue with a gunshot wound to the chest, Chicago police said.

A man was found shot to death early Saturday at a gas station in West Garfield Park.

Lashawn Griffin, 24, was found with a gunshot wound to his chest in the parking lot of a gas station in the 400 block of South Kostner Avenue, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

He was transported at 4 a.m. to Mt. Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

An autopsy found he died of multiple gunshot wounds and ruled his death a homicide. No one is in custody, police said.
